Okay, guys. You just have to see this. I just want to say though, before you do, that I am not the original discoverer of this effect. I don't know who was, although I haven't seen it in Flash before.

Directions for Use (actually read them!)

Look at the pretty Flash animation. If your computer isn't fast enough to play it smoothly in your browser, hit download and watch it by opening the file.

Okay, so here's what you do.

Stare into the centre of the pattern for about 5 minutes or so. Seriously, take the time and do it. You want the full effect here, not some half-baked lazy ass substitute. Your eyes might go blurry. That's good. Before long it might look like you're watching the squares plummet continuously into a time vortex - that's good too. Just don't be tempted to look away until you're sure you've been at it for the full five minutes.

Okay, now the cool part. Look away from the animation. I dunno, look at a poster on your wall, or some furniture. Something 2-3 metres away.

If you like this effect, ~Xinos just found this program on the internet (it's tiny, you should download it) which you run and it does the same only about 20 times stronger. It's scary!
